Our services

Pen and paper

After an initial consultation on-site we sit down with our clients to ensure that all the requirements are carefully noted and discussed.

We tailor our design service to the specific needs of each client.
Sometimes all that’s needed is a simple sketch that prompts small projects to move forward; for this reason, we offer a Detailed Concept Design: a simple document that can go straight to the builder.

Other times a project requires more thinking, research and discussion; in this case, we offer a Full Garden Design inclusive of an initial Concept design, modifiable until it reaches perfection, followed by a Master Plan, that contains all the documents needed for the implementation.

Shovel and soil

We are proud to collaborate with an excellent and professional landscaper who helps us build incredible projects.

Collaborating closely with our landscaper allows us to incorporate structural considerations into the design process to maximise efficiencies throughout the implementation of the garden.

Our expert landscaper can provide a cost estimate during the Concept Design stage, allowing us to adjust the design to fit our client’s budget.

Our involvement doesn’t end at the design table; we also supply and plant all our gardens, ensuring that each plant is carefully selected to best realise the original design.

Secateurs and gloves

Gardens, like all living things, require time and care to thrive. This is why we offer our horticultural expertise for maintenance services that help new gardens realise their full potential.

Our maintenance team expertly manages all gardening needs: we provide personalized services to ensure each garden thrives, offering regular upkeep and special project support to enhance the beauty of new and established gardens.

A sustainable approach is our goal. We strive to integrate permaculture techniques into our maintenance practices, promoting the use of organic herbicides and working with the environmental conditions of each location.

More details

  • A Detailed Concept Design serves as a comprehensive planning tool specifically tailored for smaller garden projects or for clients who have a well-defined vision for their desired outdoor space. This detailed drawing showcases the layout of the garden as well as essential technical details, specifications, and a complete planting list.

With this document in hand, clients can easily obtain accurate quotes from contractors, streamlining the process swiftly to the construction phase. The Detailed Concept Design is presented during an in-person meeting, where a printed copy is provided for the client’s reference and a digital version is sent via email.

  • For larger projects or clients who need more guidance in achieving their ideal garden, we begin with a Concept Design. This includes a set of plans that help visualize the new space. The drawings consist of handcrafted sketches featuring a colored top view of the garden, 3D models, proposed planting and material lists, along with reference images to help illustrate forms and shapes.

We present the Concept Design during an in-person meeting, providing both a hard copy and a digital version sent via email. During the meeting, we explain all the elements of the design and take note of any modifications the clients request. The Concept can be modified as necessary to achieve the client's ultimate vision.

Once the Concept Design is approved we can move forward to the second stage of the design: the Master Plan.

  • The Master Plan represents the final stage of a Full Garden Design. It includes a set of detailed technical drawings, such as the Planting Scheme, Material List, Elevations, and Structural Details. These documents enable clients to receive quotes and they assist landscapers during the construction process.

The Master Plan is presented during an in-person meeting, where all the documents are displayed before the clients where we explain the various elements, including heights, levels, and finishes. A Planting List that specifies the exact number of plants and their pot sizes is also included in the Plan.

Since we source and grow the plants used in our designs we area also able to provide clients with Plants Estimate during the same meeting.

We also allow for minor modifications to the Master Plan to better align with the clients' preferences. Once the plan is finalized, we send it to our trusted landscaper for quoting. Clients can choose to share the design with other contractors to obtain multiple quotes and select any landscaper they prefer for the project.

  • Our passion for plants and horticulture has inspired us to collect and cultivate the plants we commonly use for our designs in a fully equipped nursery attached to our studio.

We understand that sourcing certain unusual plants in established sizes can be quite challenging and costly. For this reason, we aim to source all the plants required for a project as soon as the design is approved. With the help of Tasmania's and Australia’s best growers, we obtain plants that are not only interesting and characteristic of our design style but also well-suited to the local conditions of soil and climate of each project.

The plants are then repotted, nourished, and grown in our nursery until the planting stage begins. This process allows us to deliver the best results to our clients at a considerate cost.

  • Once the hardscaping is completed, we deliver the plants to the site and place them according to the Planting Scheme design.

After the placing is completed we walk with the clients to show the final effect of the planted garden. If necessary we can rearrange or amend specifc areas to meet the best suit the client's preference.

Our team then plant each pot carefully using organic fertilizers and compost to support the healthy development of the plants.

  • We pride ourselves in taking care of the gardens that we help design and build. Our team leverages fine horticultural expertise to ensure that every green space, whether newly established or already existing, thrives and flourishes.

This service is particularly beneficial in the months immediately following the completion of a garden, as weeds tend to grow exponentially in freshly disturbed or newly added soil. For this reason we assist our clients by offering a comprehensive maintenance service that can be focused on the initial stage of life of a garden or continuative.

Having the designer actively involved in the garden's upkeep helps maintain coherence with the original design goals and prevents the garden from going in an unintended direction. Like all living things, gardens grow and evolve; our maintenance visits ensure that these changes are therefore organic and consistent.

We provide our full maintenance services for both newly built and already established gardens.
